Mads Østberg and co-driver Jonas Andersson will be doing Rally Finland first coming week end.

Reccy started earlier today, with focus fully set on pace notes, which is the key point to a good result.
 
”We are very well coordinated in the car, and pace notes will surely be good” Jonas commented before reccy started this morning.  

The team has decided to use the Subaru WRC 06 in this rally. Pre event tests have not been optimal. Two test days were troubled by some technical problems, but Mads is not stressed by that:

“It is much better that we are finished with problems on test, than having them through the rally. I have used the WRC 06 by several rallies this year. I will only do two more WRC rallies with the Subarues, and it is important for the team to use available material economical and rational”, Mads says as a comment to the choice of car. “Our engineer has calculated that we have much mileage left on all major units on the 06 car. I like that car, so no problems using it from my side. It is old compared to the competitors, that’s a fact, but it is a good car.”

The last time Mads used this car was in Rally Sweden, with 8th. position as result.

“We don’t think on any specific position on the result list, we are mainly focused to perform our very best all through the team. If we succeed I think we can have a good result well inside top ten”, Mads finishes.
